Yellow Dress

One Hot Potato (Head)

One of my favorite toys right now are Mommy's potato heads. I'm becoming a master at putting the pieces into the holes on the old spud and thought I'd take some photos of my latest creation. I'd like to think of this as an ode to abstract postmodernism.

Big Girl Bed

When Ma, my great-grandma, came to visit last week, she helped us set up my new "big girl" bed. She even turned the bumper pad for my crib (that we never used) into nifty pads for the headboard and footboard of my new bed. The best part about this new bed is that I can get into it and out of it whenever I want!

Here I am waking up from a peaceful slumber invigorated and ready to pull all the books off the bookshelf, play with my "doh" and chase my cats.

Donkeys in the House

I saw the craziest thing last weekend. Donkeys. In a Gym. Playing basketball. Well actually people were trying to play basketball while riding the donkeys. The donkeys weren't really very cooperative. Don't believe me? Check out these photo stills from the video of the big event:

My eyes are glued to the court. It was a real nail-biter.
Aunt Jennifer, my cousin Caitlyn, Uncle Chris and Pa are also in the picture.

An Eggcellent Easter

Hi everyone! I just had my second Easter and it rocked! The Easter Bunny must have known how much I love Elmo and "Doh" because he brought me an Elmo and cool new tools (my own rolling pin!) for my play-doh. The bunny even visited me again at Grandma's where I got a talking tea set! Elmo and I had a tea party when I got home. Yes indeed, the bunny was good to me this year. Here are some photos from the festivities.

I tasted the orange paint while Mommy wasn't looking.

Not only do I paint the paper with my dot paints I paint my hands too!

Fashionable Hats for Spring

I like to be a trendsetter when it comes to my headgear. I've been experimenting with a new look for spring inspired by baskets and colanders. What do ya think? Could I take Paris by storm?

Bunnies and Dogs and Tigers! Oh My!

Today we went to something called an open house. It was at Mizzou (the place Daddy works). I got to see tons of different animals: bunnies, a parrot, snakes, geckos, guinea pigs, a black cat who walked on a leash and a whole lot of DOGS! I love dogs and these dogs were really cool. They could do all sorts of tricks like catching frisbees and jumping really high. There was one dog that even danced to music! I couldn't help moving my feet to the beat too.

More things to add to my list of "firsts:" tiger-stripe ice cream and meeting Truman the Tiger. The ice cream was fantastic. I love the stuff. Truman --- I was a little suspicious of him. He looked a lot like a grown man dressed up in a fake tiger suit. He tried his best to win me over, but I'm not that easy to convince.

Caught Red-Handed

Well maybe not "red" handed but definitely with a fish stick in hand and a guilty cat nearby. Gooseyard is feigning innocence masked by annoyance.

A Broom Story

I have this broom. It's yellow and blue and red. I like to help Mommy sweep things up in the kitchen because I'm that kind of girl --- sweet and helpful.

Yesterday one of my cats threw up on the floor (I think it was Callie. She's always puking.) and when I spotted it, I went to get my broom to clean it up. When I was finished sweeping it up, I took my broom back to Mommy. She had a weird look on her face when I showed it to her.

How was I supposed to know you aren't supposed to sweep up puke?

My broom had to have a bath after that.

The End.
