Hot Fun in the Summertime!

I've been a pretty busy girl this week and wanted to tell you all about the things I've been doing. Sunday was Father's Day so I wished my daddy a happy father's day with a big hug, a cute card and some brats! Here's a picture of me and Daddy right after I was born. I'm pretty sure I have the best daddy in the world. He walks me around when I'm upset, let's me snuggle with him in the big recliner at night before I go to bed, reads me stories and sings silly songs to me. Happy Father's Day, Daddy.

We also went to visit my Pa and Bob-Bob for Father's Day. We had a pretty good time. I ate an entire adult cup of apple sauce. Boy was that good!

Monday, Mommy let me play in a small bowl of water out on the screened in porch. I dipped my little cups in the water and dumped them all over myself. Fun! We also went to the park and I got to swing on the swings.

Tuesday we ran errands around town. I showed off my cuteness at Wal-Mart. I never get tired of hearing how cute I am. There was one lady who told me I was so cute that I needed to be careful because someone would kidnap me. Yikes! I didn't really like her. Who would say such a thing to a baby?!

Wednesday Mommy and I had fun at home. She let me play with cooked spaghetti. We had a great time. I got spaghetti all over the floor and laughed when Mommy put spaghetti on her nose. We also played an animal sounds game where Mommy made all sorts of silly sounds while I listened to her being silly. I thought the "gobble-gobble" turkey sound was hilarious.

Thursday, we met up with Aunt Lelo at Starbucks. She taught me a new rhyme that goes like this:

This little piggy went to market.
This little piggy stayed at home.
This little piggy had Starbucks.
This little piggy had none.
This little piggy cried "Wee, Wee, Wee," all the way home.

We also had our Thursday lunch with Daddy. I like lunches with Daddy. I miss him when he's gone during the day.

Friday evening, we went to IHOP and I had pancakes for the very first time. They were yummy! The waitresses were admiring my cuteness a little too much and I started crying. I felt like I was being chased by the paparazzi for heaven's sakes. After that Mommy and I went to the spray fountain at a new little park by her office while Daddy ran an errand. I got to put my feet on the fountain. I love water and if I hadn't been so tired, I think I would have gotten a lot wetter and played with the big kids.

So that was my week. Tomorrow we go to visit PaPa for Father's Day. I'll tell you all about it when I get back.

Birthdays, BBQ and Family

Today we went to my cousin Cole's fifth birthday party and BBQ. I had a pretty good time visiting with my grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles and cousins. Even though it was technically only my seven month birthday, Grandma got me a cool stacker toy and pretty new outfit. My cousin Kaity got a baby doll with a puppy and carrying case. I think getting presents when it isn't your birthday is pretty nifty. I really liked my ring stacker and spent quite a while relaxing in my Bumbo and trying to fit the entire big blue "donut" ring into my mouth. If Mommy and Daddy can do it with Krispy Kremes I should be able to do it with this, right?

Here are some photos of the big event.

This is my cousin Cole. He got a skateboard for his birthday and already knows how to do tricks on it!

Here's a picture of Ma (my great-grandma), Cole, me and my cousin Kaity (Kaitlyn). Cole didn't want to sit by us girls. He thinks his sister Kaity is "onnie meanie" and that I might be mean too. I don't think Kaity is onnie meanie at all. I liked it that she sat beside me so that I could touch her shirt. I can't wait until I'm bigger and can play with them!

Ma and I were playing with my "donuts." Ma has sock monkeys at her house. I never knew sock monkeys were so cool until Mommy let me play with the monkeys at Ma's house today. Did you know I also have a sock monkey of my own? It's on my shelf in my room and it has a long tail that's particularly good to chew on!

Here's me and my Pa.

Grandma and I were watching Uncle Chris cook the hamburgers and hot dogs. He had big pinchers to grab the hamburgers and hot dogs, and I was paying close attention to what he was doing.

Here I am on a really scary looking frog at the park with Daddy. I'm not sure I like amphibians, especially ones with yellow and red eyes. Ick.

I had a very good day even though I skipped my afternoon nap and got a little cranky. Tomorrow we have to go to another BBQ for my mom's work. You can also read about my lunch out with Aunt Lelo here last Monday.

See you all later. This little social butterfly needs her beauty sleep before the next big event tomorrow.
