Hi everyone! I know it's been a while since I've posted, but I've been a very busy girl. Here are some of the exciting things that have happened over the past several weeks:
- I can sit up now! Yeah! Sitting up allows me to get a much better view of things and that makes me very happy.
- I noticed that we have these two furry things called kitties in our house. I am always on the lookout for the kitties so that I can reach out and touch them. Unfortunately they're pretty quick and usually get away before I have a chance. Mommy and Daddy sometimes hold them so that I can pet them. They tell me to be nice to the kitties, but their fur is so soft that I just want to grab a big handful of it. I also like to grab their ears. I don't think the kitties like that. The gray kitty will let me pet him sometimes, but the calico kitty always runs away. This makes the calico kitty much more interesting. Calico kitty, I have you in my sights and will get you one of these days. :)
- I went on my first carousel ride a week ago at the mall. The first time we went, I sat on the bench with Daddy and the next time I got to ride one of the ponies that moves up and down. I was more interested in the belt that was strapped around me than the horse, but it was a pretty good time. So far I've ridden it four times.
- I've decided books aren't so bad after all. I especially like "What Does Baby Say?" because it has pages that move in and out... oh and the best part is that it is very SHORT!
- Mommy and I went shopping and she let me pick out my own swimming suit. It is pink with starfish and shells on it. I can't wait until Daddy takes me swimming. I think I'm going to love the pool.
- I love it when we have thunderstorms because Doppler Dave comes on the TV and shows us the radar. It has all sorts of colored blobs moving around on it. I smile and can't seem to pull myself away from the TV when this happens. I think my daddy would definitely agree with me when I say that severe weather is so cool.
- I heard this loud noise outside today and Mommy took me to the window so that I could see what it was. It was this big blue truck with a guy riding on the back. They stopped at our house and loaded up all of our black trash bags and then drove away. That thing sure was loud. I've never seen a big smelly truck like that before, but I think it's definitely good that it takes away our stinky trash.
- Mommy and I took a walk in our backyard today and we saw a blue heron by our pond. He was trying to catch a fish for breakfast. Mommy showed me all the different types of trees and plants in our yard and I got to touch them all. I liked the shrub with the pink flowers and the little dwarf spruce trees. They felt funny on my hands.
- I think every song is better when Daddy "boopifies" it. Boopifying is the art of replacing all of the words to the song with the word boop. Daddy sounds so silly. It's hilarious!
