The Birthday Girl is Sick...

Maddie wanted me to let you know that she's sick today and that it would be okay if her mommy wrote a birthday post for her. She'll be back to blogging as soon as she feels better.

I won't write an embarrassingly mushy post as I dare not embarrass my one going on 13 year-old. I will tell you all that I can't believe my baby is almost a toddler. She's an amazing little girl who is sweet and curious and joy of our lives. So with that said. Here are a few things about Maddie:

Current Maddie-likes:

• Tigger (her stuffed animal)
• Kitties (screaming at and chasing after)
• Books ("Moo Moo Brown Cow," "Hand Hand Fingers Thumb," "The Very Hungry Caterpillar," and "Ten Apples Up on Top")
• The Computer keyboard and mouse
• The Remote Control ("whoever has the remote rules the world")
  
• Swinging in her swing outside
  
• Holding the grocery list in the grocery store
  
• Getting the attention of the people at the next table in restaurants
• Cole and Caity
• Baths and splashing in the sink
  
• Food: Cheerios, Cheddar Bunnies, Apples, Sweet Potatoes, Mommy's stew

Current Maddie-dislikes:

• The word "No"
• Sleeves (putting her arms in them, especially when tired)
• Being prevented from using the computer whenever she wants to
  
• Naps
• Having her mouth wiped off after a meal
  
• Being taken out of her swing after swinging (a.k.a not swinging)
• Food: Goldfish crackers (a.k.a impostor cheddar bunnies); spaghetti; juices of all kinds; bananas; dairy products; anything slimy or unidentified

Special talents:

• Cruising
  
• Waving bye-bye
• Clapping hands
• Playing "I see you"
• Finding noses and mouths
• Shaking her head "no" when Mommy says "yes"
• "Reading" books books
